Toxic Town centers on a group of women engaged in a struggle for justice against a much larger entity. The series demonstrates the measures they take to ensure responsibility is assigned where it belongs. This conflict unfolds over more than ten years, proving that even everyday people can significantly affect corporations and revealing how a lack of awareness from those with authority can lead to devastating outcomes. I had little knowledge of this situation prior to viewing the program, as I noted earlier, but now I believe it’s a truly illuminating experience. The narrative is deeply moving, yet also provides a sense of hope. When considering other factual events that have produced such a strong emotional reaction, HBO's Chernobyl is the only one that immediately comes to mind.
