Synopsis

As men succumb to a heavy, dreamless sleep, investigators are dispatched to determine the cause. Their inquiries reveal a sinister truth: the prejudiced Violet Vanderfleet has deployed a novel concoction of toxic blooms, the *Viola Vanderfleetus*, with the intent of dismantling the male population, fueled by the wreckage of her own romantic failures. Meanwhile, in a secondary narrative, Sam finds himself drawn to Clover's former companion. The antagonist is Violet Vanderfleet.
