I’m a big fan of Shane, so I had reservations about whether this could possibly measure up initially -- but thankfully, after the premiere, things improved considerably, particularly starting with the second and third episodes onward. My only real criticism would be that the casting of the character who turns out to be the 'dad' felt off; his look and behavior don’t quite align with how he was presented throughout the season.
