My initial impression after seeing just the first episode left me feeling really let down. It seems like it’s straining to be something else entirely. The attempts at humor feel unnatural and fall completely flat. I'm planning on watching Terry Gilliam’s film next, because I’m a big fan—it’s actually one of my all-time favorites... which is likely why I find this series so unappealing; it feels like a low-budget imitation.
