Synopsis

Joy’s accusation that Eddie lacked emotional expression prompted them to attend a couples seminar, hoping to fortify their bond and help him access his feelings. The retreat, however, proved disappointing; their instructor, Dr. Friedman, introduced a series of new-age therapies that left a distinctly unpleasant aftertaste. Separately, Kenny attempted to coax out Eddie’s softer side, while Jeff, in a moment of vulnerability, confessed his own sensitivity to Steph.
