Synopsis

Returning to the site of their former home, Lion-O and Snarf discovered the Thunder-scope, a legendary Thundarian instrument said to reveal the locations of lost Thunderians and their possessions. Sensing its power, Mumm-Ra intended to use it to find the treasure of Thundera and launched an ambush against Lion-O. In a shocking turn, he struck down the young Lord. As his life ebbed away, Lion-O managed to remove one of the scope's lenses, preventing Mumm-Ra from fully harnessing its capabilities.
