Upon returning to New Thundera in the Feliner, Panthro, Tygra, and Cheetara hoped to recover more fragments of the Treasure of Thundera. However, Mumm-Ra intervened, shooting down their vessel and, manifesting as the Fog of Despair, transporting them to the Canyons of Youth—a place that reverted them to their forms as helpless Thundercubs.
