Driven by ambition, Monkian sought out Mumm-Ra and pledged him anything in exchange for the strength to command Third Earth. Mumm-Ra accepted, bestowing upon him Power Spheres that granted extraordinary might and formidable weaponry. With this newfound power, Monkian paralyzed the Thundercats and vanquished Lion-O, seizing the Sword of Omens and returning it to Mumm-Ra’s grasp.
