Synopsis

Gamache returns to Three Pines to investigate the vanishing of Marc Fortier, a well-known figure in the community. The case quickly deepens, revealing a murder that draws Gamache and his team into the shadowed history of St. Anthony's. Separately, Lacoste uncovers evidence suggesting a crucial piece of information regarding Blue’s disappearance has been deliberately falsified. Encouraged by Gamache, he secretly revisits the case.
