Synopsis

Thomas led the schoolchildren to the annual sports day, a familiar ritual brimming with laughter and youthful energy. Watching them compete, he felt a pang of longing – a wish for the camaraderie and triumph of a winner's medal. Later, during a spontaneous race with Bertie, they reached the finish line, only for Thomas to discover the prize medals had been forgotten, left behind in the sporting area for the victors.
