Synopsis

Edward was beginning to feel his age. The other engines spoke of retirement, of being replaced by newer models. "A useless old steam-pot," some whispered, and the sentiment was echoed by the larger engines. Percy, ever sensitive, overheard these remarks and, crestfallen, sought out the Fat Controller.
