Synopsis

Harry and Bert, the diesel engines of the Smelter Yard, conspired to position James as a "middle engine," a precarious placement with vehicles before and behind him. James, overhearing their boastful claims in the shed that he wouldn't fall for their trickery, scoffed. Yet, they succeeded. Annoyance flared within him at this awkward configuration, and James, stubborn and resolute, refused to budge.
