Synopsis

A tremor ran through him as he watched. The old chimney, a weathered sentinel of forgotten industry, seemed to dissolve into the earth. A chill wind whispered around him, and Percy felt a prickle of unease. He hurried away, shaken by the sight. The next morning, the tale was circulating. Donald and Douglas, their voices conspiratorial, spoke of mischievous gnomes as the culprits. The "naughty gnomes," they claimed, were responsible for the chimney's sudden descent.
