Synopsis

She boasted of Toby, the locomotive, claiming he was timid and that animals invariably fled at the sound of his whistle and the direct gaze of his driver. “They always run,” she declared, “if you toot and look them in the eye.” She would have proven her point, had not Champion the bull intervened! She also spoke of Toby's cowcatchers and side plates, devices designed to protect animals should they wander onto the tracks.
