Synopsis

The line stretched before him, a ribbon of steel demanding meticulous attention. He worked with practiced care, mending and securing, yet a nagging imperfection remained – a troublesome section just before the first station, untouched by his efforts. The aging diesel seemed to caution him, but Duncan bristled at the instruction. Instead, he pushed onward, a rebellious energy propelling him along the line…and with a disheartening inevitability, disaster struck.
