Synopsis

Skarloey felt a familiar tremor of unease whenever he approached the Wharf. The noise there was overwhelming, and he knew no one amongst the engines stationed there. James often took pleasure in this, calling him a ‘scaredy engine,’ a remark that always left Skarloey feeling unsettled. He couldn't help but wonder if the engine was right. Yet, throughout the day, spurred by camaraderie with Rusty, Duncan, and Rheneas, Skarloey found himself performing acts of courage. By the end of the day, he be
