Synopsis

The relentless rhythm of the rails had become a torment for Edward. Each pass through the tunnel was met with Gordon’s teasing laughter, a cruel counterpoint to Edward's mounting distress. The weight of the train seemed to press down on him, mirroring the despair in his engine. Then, a sudden, violent burst of steam erupted from Gordon’s side, and the world tilted precariously. Gordon’s safety valve had failed, spewing pressure just beyond the tunnel’s mouth. Edward was the only engine withi
