Synopsis

Teresa Hoese, whom Scully and Mulder had encountered the previous spring in Oregon just before Mulder’s abduction, is discovered in the desert, having endured alien experimentation. Doggett informs Scully that this development may be connected to Mulder and his disappearance. Skinner joins them, and they proceed to the hospital where Teresa lies on the brink of death. Scully observes, with a growing certainty, that Mulder is experiencing the same ordeal.
