Synopsis

Returning to the town that marked the beginning of their work with the X-Files, Mulder and Scully find themselves confronted by a new enigma: a crashed extraterrestrial craft deep within the woods. Meanwhile, the Cigarette-Smoking Man orchestrates Krycek's release from confinement, a calculated move designed to re-establish contact with the beings from beyond and resurrect the clandestine "Project." Adding to the mounting tension, Scully’s health shows signs of deterioration.
