Synopsis

Mulder receives a lead regarding possible paramilitary activity within the United States. During the ensuing operation, however, he is taken aback to discover the identity of his enigmatic informant: Alex Krycek. Distrustful of Krycek's intentions, Mulder nonetheless proceeds with the information provided. He soon uncovers a far-reaching conspiracy that leads him to a gulag in Tunguska, Russia, where prisoners are subjected to experiments involving a substance of extraterrestrial origin.
