Synopsis

The encounter with the elderly man, who foretold imminent events to two scientists – events that subsequently unfolded – and who spoke of their experimental flash-freezing compound (a technology yet to be realized), convinced Mulder that one of the scientists was a traveler from the future. This visitor, it seemed, was determined to prevent his own groundbreaking discovery from ever coming to fruition.
