The initial season was quite good. There were some problems with how events unfolded, making it occasionally difficult to track what was happening. The sword fighting looked great, but I felt there should have been more scenes featuring the fantastical creatures through special effects. However, the show managed to capture a decent feel for what a medieval fantasy world would be like—the dialogue, interactions, social customs, and even the more explicit aspects of life were represented. Overall, I’d rate the first season at 7.8 out of 10. The second season was just mediocre; it wasn't particularly good or bad. It seemed that the person in charge of the show was more interested in getting paid than developing the story and production quality, which led to Henry Cavill wanting to leave, as did many viewers. This individual—I can’t remember her name, and I won’t bother looking it up because I don't care for her—was responsible for the remaining episodes of that season and subsequent ones, essentially leading them down a bad path. The third season is when Cavill departed. A character named Siri becomes more prominent. The bard has been established as gay. And another actor, from the Hemsworth family, barely appears at all in promotional materials. It’s not worth your time; watching paint dry would be more engaging. -- Bob --
