This is yet another misfire from Netflix. I canceled my subscription some time ago, but happened to see a bit of this while traveling, staying at a motel. That was enough for me to know I won’t be watching beyond the initial episode. *The Witcher: Blood Origin*, in my view, seems more preoccupied with incorporating progressive themes than with its primary purpose—being enjoyable. Even talented performers can't prevent the series from feeling superficial and driven by something besides a genuine interest in crafting a good narrative. Ultimately, businesses are free to promote whatever values they choose, but the critical question is whether audiences will invest their money to watch it. Based on my experience, the answer is a definite “no.”
