Synopsis

"The king stays the king," D'Angelo observed. Herc, Carver, and Prez's early morning field interviews escalate into a minor riot, leaving one boy with an injured eye and casting a shadow over the department's reputation. Meanwhile, beyond the reach of the law, D'Angelo imparts the strategies of the game – chess – to Wallace and Bodie, later captivating Bell with his shrewd acquisition from the low-rise district.
