The premise seemed really appealing: two performers capable of headlining their own shows, creating something close to flawless with a strong supporting cast, and incorporating some fresh elements (as far as I can tell, it's set in an unfamiliar time and place). I attempted to watch the initial episode but struggled to get through it. The whole thing felt drained of energy, predictable, and rigidly structured; it lacked any sense of excitement or engagement. It’s possible the series just began poorly, although I didn’t pick up on a feeling that things might improve or that there was something worthwhile buried beneath the surface. Some viewers may find enjoyment in it. For me, it's disappointing to see such promise squandered.
