Synopsis

In a mountain tradition, a fourteen-year-old girl is betrothed to a man. Mary Ellen intervenes, and the groom, determined to claim his bride, kidnaps Elizabeth. Meanwhile, Octavia, a somewhat peculiar cousin of the Baldwins, receives an unexpected visit from him.
