Synopsis

While Mary Ellen anxiously awaited news regarding her nursing school application, the Waltons busied themselves with preparing farewell gifts. Though accepted, she recognized a need for further study in mathematics and science, and so she began to meet with John-Boy and Miss Nora Taylor, the county nurse, for assistance.
