Synopsis

Maggie McKenzie yearned for the sight of the ocean again. John-Boy accompanied her on this trip, though it meant missing a significant dance. Meanwhile, Grandpa assisted the children in tending to an injured bird. Earl Hamner appeared in this episode as Maggie's husband, a rare credit for the actor. The episode's director, Harry Harris, who would later helm nearly fifty episodes, received an Emmy nomination for his work.
