Synopsis

Accusations of cheating have fallen on Bert regarding this year’s village race. A farmhand’s claim stands in opposition to that of a nobleman, a peer of the realm. The Middletons are burdened by financial hardship, and Grace shows no inclination to shy away from confrontation.
