I’ve always considered Whoopi someone entertaining and pleasant; my childhood in the eighties shaped that impression. However, watching *The View* has altered my perspective. Around 2016, the show began a steep decline into what I'd describe as woke silliness. It adopted a culture of complaints, public shaming, and attempts to silence dissenting viewpoints, evolving into a platform where individuals express anger toward those holding different opinions. There’s no indication they will return to earlier times when guests like Norm MacDonald were featured, even though his meandering anecdotes often led to amusing moments. Now the show feels confrontational and rude. They seem to act as self-appointed judges of morality, which makes it difficult to remain invested and leaves them appearing resentful and dictatorial.
