Synopsis

August 1932. Detroit. The Purple Gang, a name long associated with intimidation in the realms of breweries, illicit liquor, labor disputes, and prostitution, has now turned its attention to kidnapping. Their particular specialty lies in abducting fellow members of the criminal underworld – a necessity, given their inability to seek assistance from law enforcement. To date, they have abducted nine individuals (the most recent being Rocky Garver), amassing a total of one hundred thousand dollars.
