Synopsis

November 1932. With FDR’s impending move to repeal Prohibition, the criminal underworld was already beginning its transition from alcohol to narcotics. The supply of the latter was dwindling in the months ahead. On February 20, 1933, Frank Nitti and his lieutenant Pete Konitz traveled to New Orleans, where Mardi Gras festivities were underway. Bouchard was occupied with having Sully install bulletproof glass in his car. Subsequently, Nitti made a demand for a drug shipment from Bouchard.
