Synopsis

September 8, 1934. A vessel en route from Cuba to New Jersey is ablaze. With over three hundred souls aboard, passengers and crew alike are abandoning ship to escape the inferno. Ness and his team, stationed in New Jersey, hasten to the docks as the ship arrives; Ness carries a warrant for the arrest of Valentine Ferrar, the ruthless head of the Big Syndicate. Ferrar had been in Cuba, collecting a million dollars in tribute for the organization.
