Synopsis

Hillsdale, Illinois. August 8, 1931. A special United States mail train, en route from Rock Island, was halted by emergency flares on the tracks. A group of gangsters, masked in Army gas masks, launched tear gas grenades into the train's interior. They executed a postal clerk and absconded with a million dollars worth of negotiable securities.
