Synopsis

The autumn of 1933 saw a surge in truck hijackings across Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, the work of a notorious group known as the Tri-State Gang. Tonight, in Richmond, Virginia, they are pilfering a truckload of radios. As is their custom, "Big" Bill Phillips, a man of six-foot-four and formidable build, assumes control of the commandeered vehicle, shifting the cargo to their own. Artie McLeod, a shifty gambler of little worth, then secures the driver by blinding him with a burlap sack
