Synopsis

Chicago is cleaved in two by gang territory. The north side answers to the Bertsche mob, while the south is controlled by the Viale brothers, Augie and Vito. Madison Street marks the dividing line. At the news office, Jake Lingle reports a story to the front desk: a gang war has erupted on the near north side. Two men, armed with machine guns, have destroyed the liquor supply at Bertsche’s Club Chapeau in retaliation for the Bertsche mob's raid on a Viale warehouse.
