Synopsis

Spring of 1931 found St. Louis once again embroiled in the brutal realities of gang warfare. Tim Harrington, a figure long established as the city’s unchallenged leader, faced a forceful challenge to his authority from Joe Courtney, a rising figure in the underworld. The aging Dink Conway proposed a meeting at the Jockey Club, urging the two men to settle their differences. He argued that their methods were antiquated – relying on violence and untraceable cash. Conway offered them something more
