Synopsis

Chicago, March 31, 1933. Giuseppe "Joe" Bucco was at home when his wife’s cousin, Barbara Vittorini, arrived. She declared that her husband, Arturo, had been missing for three days and accused Bucco of his murder. Bucco directed his associate, Abe Garfinkel, to escort her home. He was familiar with attempts on his life—Guzik's men had once shot him four times, though he had survived. To his wife, Anna, Bucco swore he had no knowledge of Arturo’s whereabouts.
