The initial idea behind The Uncanny Counter doesn’t quite get fully realized. One of the most significant issues is that the show tends toward excessive sentimentality and sweetness, reaching levels that feel awkward. It also seems to stretch on for too long; around episode 10, patterns start to repeat. Despite this, there's enough substance and interesting elements to make it reasonably enjoyable. The series has a similar vibe to shows like Supernatural, combined with aspects reminiscent of Ghost Busters. The action sequences are well-executed, and the background story is fairly captivating. Overall, it’s an acceptable supernatural action show, but not exceptional. I believe it could have been considerably more absorbing if it had adopted a less melodramatic approach.
