Synopsis

The brightest student in the school becomes a target for those who would inflict harm. After each assault, he retreats to his bed, where he encounters the "Shadow Man" lurking beneath his mattress, who offers a way out. This being, it confesses, is a killer, yet assures the boy that it never takes those who hide beneath the bed. Defying all rules, the boy ventures out, daring the killer to witness his bravery. While the other children flee in terror, he stands firm as the "Shadow Man" approaches
