Synopsis

The narrative returns to Japan. Sugimoto is speaking with Kaname within the hushed atmosphere of a library. Later that night, his brother, Suguru, observes Sugimoto and seeks confirmation from Kaname regarding the unusual occurrences surrounding her. The story then shifts back to Youka’s perspective; Gyousou finds himself troubled by what seems like Taiki's disappointment in him since he ascended to the throne. Youka attempts to reassure Taiki that Gyousou will prove a worthy king. Back in Japan
