Synopsis

The shadow of war stretched long as France and Spain formed an alliance against England, bolstered by the support of the Papacy. Faced with this precarious situation, Henry resolved to enter a marriage of political expediency with Anne of Cleves, a German noblewoman of unassuming appearance whom he had never encountered before.
