Synopsis

Inspector Fowler intended to use a proposal of marriage to improve his prospects for advancement, but his thoughtlessness in the matter instead drove Sergeant Dawkins away. He sought another woman, but his enthusiasm waned upon learning that Dawkins was now involved with someone named Toby.
