The story centers on numerous students who find themselves awaiting rescue after a tsunami strikes the island where their school is located. After an entire month passes without any sign of help arriving, they must devise strategies for survival and escape. As time goes on, strange occurrences start to unfold, leading to escalating conflicts among the survivors as despair sets in regarding their chances of returning home. The series reveals the backgrounds of the primary characters, illustrating how their past experiences shaped them in the absence of adult supervision. These backstories frequently depict a wide spectrum of feelings and remorse over past actions. I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy this show as much as I did. The episodes consistently concluded with cliffhangers, which made it very easy to watch multiple episodes at once. Kraam proved to be the most captivating character, largely due to the fact that he should have perished in the tsunami, and because of his apparent connection to the island. I would have appreciated a deeper exploration of the island's capabilities. The characters felt realistic as they succumbed to hopelessness and began to unravel. It’s worth watching if you appreciate shows about people stranded and struggling to survive.
