Synopsis

Hans, a boy with the heart of a hedgehog, found himself unwelcome in his village and so he fled. Two decades passed when Hans encountered a king lost deep within the woods, and guided him back to his kingdom. The grateful monarch offered Hans a reward: the first sight he would encounter upon his return. But fate, it seemed, had a twist in store, for the king's first view was of his own daughter. Would despair consume the king, or could love find a way? This is drawn from an old German folk tale.
