Synopsis

Larry Underwood, a musician poised for recognition, finds his world irrevocably altered by the arrival of "Captain Trips" in New York. Amidst the deserted streets and echoing silence of the city, he encounters a captivating stranger equally driven by the need to flee. Elsewhere, within the confines of a prison cell, Lloyd Henreid is confronted by Randall Flagg, the enigmatic Dark Man, who extends a tempting proposition.
