Synopsis

Confined to the hospital bed by psoriasis, Marlow’s thoughts drifted back to childhood, to the war years and a disturbing memory: witnessing his mother engaged in a clandestine encounter deep within the Forest of Dean. These recollections, intertwined with the hardboiled narratives he favored and the unsettling progression of his illness, seemed to braid together, constructing for him an unfamiliar, fractured reality.
