Synopsis

The Christmas tree lay in splinters, the gifts scattered and broken. In a desperate attempt to conceal his clumsiness, Bart buried the wreckage and fabricated a tale of a burglary. When Kent Brockman of Channel 6 News ran a sympathetic piece on the family’s misfortune, the town rallied with kindness and support. But the outpouring of generosity would soon be overshadowed by the revelation of the truth.
