Synopsis

When Homer’s refusal to pay for international calls results in the family losing their telephone service, Lisa confesses a startling truth: she had been the one making those calls, to Rio de Janeiro. She explains she'd contacted Brazil after sponsoring an orphan who had since disappeared. Persuading her family, she convinces them to journey to the country in search of the missing boy. Their efforts prove fruitless, however, and Homer finds himself the victim of a kidnapping.
