This adaptation of Stephen King’s novel feels very much made for television. While the acting isn't particularly strong overall, the portrayal of the father stands out when he’s intoxicated and menacing. The narrative is presented in a way that makes it more straightforward and accessible compared to Kubrick’s film version. It held my attention, but I don’t envision wanting to see it again anytime soon.
